The AOL® Media Player is shipped with AOL version 6.0,  7.0 and 8.0 for Windows. It has the same minimum requirements as our AOL client as listed below. Video cards and speakers are also required for the full experience.

*Note: While the required connectivity is a 14.4 Kbps modem, it is recommended that users connect at 56 Kbps or higher for the best user experience.

AOL System Requirements for Windows:

America Online 6.0
  1. 16 MB RAM
  2. Pentium-class PC
  3. Windows 95: 130MB available hard disk space
  4. Windows 98/ME: 113MB available hard disk space
    (Note: Up to 230MB if Internet Explorer 5.5 is installed)
  5. 640x480, 256 colors or better screen (optimized for 800x600)
  6. 14.4 or faster modem
Windows 2000 System Requirements:
  1. Remote Access Services (RAS) Installed
  2. Pentium-class processor
  3. 64 MB (megabytes) of memory RAM
  4. 108 available hard disk space (Note: Up to 178MB if Internet Explorer 5.5 is installed)
  5. VGA, SVGA or better display
  6. 640x480, 256 colors or better screen (optimized for 800x600)
  7. 14.4 Kbps or faster modem or other means of an Internet connection
  8. Internet Explorer 5.0+
 Windows XP System Requirements:
